The pads that is? not the best pics I know but give you a basic idea

Ford reckon the rears are 90% gone and the fronts are 80%- wanted to get a 2nd opinion first before splashing the cash.

Are apec really that good then? suppose they can't be any worse than ford OE parts and probably cheaper- just wondered if anyone else had used them?

Last photo i'd say is 90% down, 3rd from last is about 80-85% down, both fronts look about 70% down.

May aswell get them all done!

yeah that last one looks suspicious to me, weird how it's front left and rear right that are most worn- wonder if it's just coincidence?

the front left and rear right are on the same braking 'circuit'

each 'circuit' works on opposite corners incase one 'circuit' goes down

you just get more braking force across them 2....

i would get them changed within the next 4 months (depending on usuage)

aim to get them done ASAP though otherwise youll ruin your discs (can't work it out properly from the angle but your front discs may only have one more pad usage left.

you'll get a few thousand miles outa them still, just no harsh braking as they could fall apart when they get too low

for peace of mind i would be changing them all

Agreed.

You've got a good couple of thousand miles there. Definitely change the rear ones first.

Thanks for that mate
How do you mean only one pad usage? I haven't a clue when they have been changed in the past- I've had the car coming up to 2 years now and I've never changed the pads or discs

One pad usage I mean if you use Another life of a pad on that disc, the disc will be worn out

Oh right ok, Haven't a clue when they were changed last (the discs or pads). The Ford garage didn't mention discs just pads so I imagine they are ok

cheers dude, looking at probably red on front and oem/mintex/ ulitmax on the rears mainly because green will look odd with red calipers

and yeah I'm sort of thinking is it worth an extra £45 for full yellow stuff rather than like £50 for full mintex/ £75 for green stuff/ ultimax rears
