Hi all thought id make this thread as i am looking for an ST at the moment and i want to get a good idea of what i need to watch out for when buying one, i think it would help a lot of people in the long run.

So basically could people who know of any expected/common things to break or start to watch out for within the ST example at 40000k you might notice problem X etc etc

I know this will massively help me out and if we can get a big list compiled i know it will help everyone out for the future.

broken seat handle, so flimsy only the greatest of care and two hands will ensure you don't snap them clean off.

occasional sticking rear calipers, ensure disk is clean and there is not a band of uncleaned surface rust.

i found my caliper was stuck for a little bit on my low mileage car (22k), i spent a week of pulling the handbrake up and braking hard and it free'd it self... wasnt clear it was doing it only when rolling to a stop you would feel it stop abruptly, now its fine

In 4 and a half years I have had to replace 2 seat handles a water pump and a wheel bearing.
