Don't know yet how I'm taking delivery of my car. I've ordered it via an online broker so they're a bit in the dark until their supplier gets the car.
Fingers crossed they'll let me pick it up (there's no reason why they shouldn't let me) rather than me having to pay for someone else to drive my car to me!

Any news yet Megz on your new car. I've been in contact with my dealer and they say mine was built yesterday and should be on the transporter lorry to my dealer on Wednesday. So I just have to wait the time it takes to get from the factory to the dealer!! Been quoted 12 days after this wednesday, but thats the max - so excited!!
Whats going on with yours at the mo, have they told you?

No, no further news yet Benji but i've asked for an update. I need to confirm a couple of things too. I'm hoping to hear back tomorrow so I'll let you know!

If they're all built at the same factory it stands to reason they'll have been built in the same production run (we've ordered simliar specs and the same colour) so I'm hoping mines not far behind yours!

Im sure they'll probably be on the same transporter lorry from the factory. It's so exciting I just wish they'd give me a precise delivery date so that I can start counting the days down properly! I should know by the end of the week though. Your dealer should know precisely where it is and precisely what's happening, just keep on to them. I've been doing that with mine and I think they've been getting a bit pi**ed off but thats what they're there for. Keep me posted on developments.

got mine since yesterday evening :-) never had such a smooth, silent rocket as this one :-) Dough the best thing for me, is that it rides like a normal city car, even at 50km/h. And although i cant test it at the moment(nog enough miles), I think it pulls like hell :-)

Just had some mow news on the delivery of my car. I've been given a firm 'provisional' date of Wednesday the 14th Dec. They've said week beginning Monday 12th but they say the Wednesday is the most likely date. Have you heard anything from your dealer Megz?

Week after Christmas if I want it driving to me (they might do it for free so its a possibility. Dont want anyone else driving my car but ill save enough money to put a couple of tanks of fuel in it rather than going to collect it) or I can go pick it up first week of january! Decisions decisions!
Not long to go benji, i noticed your just days away now so I'm hoping you'll post lots of pics up and tell us all about your nice new bundle of joy when it arrives!

How far is that you're going to have to travel if you need to go there to pick her up? I know you want your as soon as poss but it might be worth thinking about waiting that extra week if it means it gets a 2006 registration date.

If it's still going to be registered in 2005 though and will just be sitting there ready for you though, then have her delivered to you. You'll save money now and will have her a little bit sooner to enjoy!!

Just to Nottingham from Chorley (near Preston). About a 2 hour drive if that. The 2006 reg apparently only comes out in March according to my dealer which makes sense (just 4 months for 55 plates seems a bit short!) so its just whether they'll drive it to me for free and if I want someone else driving my new baby!!!

I probably didn't explain myself the best way earlier Megz sorry. I realise that the 06 plates won't come out until March. When I said registration date I was meaning because some people go on the year that a car is registered on the document as well as the plate number, if you see what I mean.

So therefore if you waited til next year your car would be a 2006 55 plate, which in say 2009 when you might sell it only sounds 3 years old, wheras a 2005 one is 4 years old, hope that helps
