Sounds crazy but i'd like at least 6 hours plus just to take my time.

I was a bit rushed for time yesterday, i'd like to have gone back over it more as there was still some swirling to but shot of but sunlight was fading. Still it looks mint and the depth of the reflection is incredible now, I was happy and my mate was more than happy.

Still got a bit to do on his bonnet because at one point it had a carbon wrap and has made the laquer underneath all dull and horrible, managed to get alot more life back into it though

So made use of an empty garage this afternoon, gave my engine bay a bit of attention!

Tbh, it's not something i spend alot of time over ( if anything nearly none at all ) and it was getting rather filthy, especially after the crappy winter we had!

Whilst the bonnet was up i added in something i should have done after i bought it, 2 off rubber grommets to fit in the hole of the top mounts to stop any water coming in. Its only the off side that needs it but it would look odd if it didnt have it the other side!

Went at it with some APC ( 4:1 ish ) and a couple of brushes then washed it off after and got as much water marks off as possible, i got at the majorly bad bits but still looks minging in the photo One thing i did do but not photo'd is clean the underside of the bonnet, that was proper filthy!

I need to get hold of a decent engine dressing tbh, because with all the heat everything is so dry, but whilst i was there i tried out kleenfreaks ( yes i've been buying more ) trim dressing which you can use on any plastic, rubber or vinyl inside and out.
It leaves a nice clean finish without looking shiney and greasy, in the photo below i've applied some to the loom cover and the rear cam cover to show the difference!

Think i neeed a steam cleaner on the job tbh, anyone had experience in the past with them being okay to clean the bay with?

As for an engine dressing, the only thing to use is 303 aerospace protectant. So easy to use and leaves brilliant results.
Chemical guys barebones is pretty good too...

Picked up another snowfoam gun today ( brand new, was cheap) and also got some poorboys black hole to try out as another swirl removal compound.

Seen good reviews about it, anyone on here used it?
