Is it right that the fuel tank is 45 litres ? Normally when it seems the car is almost empty you can fill it up with around 30-35 litres. Today it seemed complety empty almost and I only got 28 litres in it. Anybody know if it's possible to program the gauge to be a bit more accurate?

yes its 45 litres. i have pre facelift, the last bar on the gauge is still about 10 litres full which is a bit depressing considering theres still £50 worth of fuel going into her. no idea about recalibration im afraid.

Even when I know it's plenty left I think it's time to fill when the yellow light comes on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuEdU_lrtZk but always wanted to do like Kramer in Seinfeld and look how far you can go before it really is empty :P

When the digital read out on the facelift says "0 miles left" I've always wondered how much fuel is actuallly left.

I've been down to 2 miles left on the tank, only managed to get 41 litres in too.

It can only be a good thing, no one wants to look like the tosser who broke down because he ran out of fuel

Had 44.1 before... In my old fiesta....

On prefaced it's you can typically do 30 miles off the bottom of the gauge I pushed it to 41 by mistake when I forgot I was ment to fill up

That's mad because every time I get in my fuel guage has magically gone up 2-5 miles on what I had when I switched the engine off which meant you were potentially on minus miles

I believe once the petrol light comes on you still have 8litres left

Done over 40miles with the light on in my ST
Regularly do over 50miles in the van

Yes that's correct. Whenever I've filled up shortly after the light's come on, it's taken 37-38 litres to fill it.

Start saving for petrol now

Actually, just had a good idea... Start putting money on a prepaid credit card and use that when u get your license back

A quick scan on here shows in Norway unleaded is £1.56 per litre:

Have to save for my license to :P Not exactly cheap. But I hope I only have to do the practical and theoretical exam. Not the whole lot. That would be massive £ at least 1200£ I think

How much is it in the UK? Was in Latvia 2 weeks ago and there it was around 1,1£. And that's expensive when you think of how much less they earn every working hour.

Here, unleaded is about £1.35/litre which equates to 12.82 NOK.

it's a while since it was that "cheap" here. but actually have gone down in price the last months. I have a bet with friends on what the fuelprice will be when I can drive again. My bet is 16.32 NOK :P that would be around 1.71£. Hope im wrong.
