I've got a smaller aerial and got my mate to paint it black/grey/black to match my colour scheme

You could do something similar maybe

Don't paint the standard one, they are flexible so as soon as you bend it or it flaps in the wind the paint will crack off. Gotta get an alloy one or one that does not bend and then paint that.
