saw this on another forum and thought was quite a good idea and thought may be quite good to do it on here, not my idea just what i saw on another forum, below is description of what it is all about:
"The main objective of this is for a bit of fun and to get your pride and joy noticed a bit more than just a usual show and shine. There will be ONE winner each month, they will get a picture of their car at the top of the page in the club banner and i am going to get a photoshop wizard to create a sig pic for the winner to put in thier signature.
Also the 12 winners will be put into a "best fiesta of the year" vote where there will be a prize for the car voted best of year and as this time next year will be ford fair the winner will also win the ultimate stand position"
Good or rubbish idea???

Yeah him and scotty, like everyone has said i like it, will it be a case of members voting like and just random pictures or a theme every month?

i think a theme every month would be good like set a challenge or somethng like say september car of the month would have to be an industrail shot, then the next an underground car park shot etc the next a countryside shot things like that then vote on the best pic from that months theme. Members would have the vote yes unless you have better suggestions i dont mean that in a funny way i know how text can come over sometimes ha

I think it's a good idea. Would there be any criteria though? I mean how could my car win it one month over someone elses? Could you win it more than once?
Am I over analysing?!
I think the downfall may be that someone would need to take charge of it as I'm not sure the mods would have time to organise it
guess you could win it more than once, would have to have a different specific theme for each month ie underground car park, countryside, beach etc lol and maybe not everyone has that months theme local so would make it interesting to see who enters i agree on someone taking charge of it though lee and voting i guess it would have to be members un biased voting of course haha

I kinda like the idea of the scenery car shots to be honest. Capturing stunning scenery with our gorgeous ST's and RS's would make a good competition; using themes too. One week it could be Mountains, other week could be action/driving shots or group shots. Maybe even a shot with some lovely girls in hot pants I hope this will happen.

I'm not saying it won't catch on, but even when the subject was 'cars' not that many people entered
But I still think we should give it a go. There's a lot more different members now anyway which may help
Defo should do this

How about modification of the month? It has loads of advantages:
1) Everyone can get involved, if they do something new they can enter. 2) It encourages people to push their car forwards and encourages unique and new thinking. 3) It gives people an extra reason to post up photos of their latest change. I do loads to my car and don't bother posting pics up and i'm sure other people are the same. 4) The same cars won't win over and over again.

Well we could always allow previous mods for a month or two or something just to get things rolling and get people all excited.
And i'm sure you could more find little things to do that nobody else has done yet. The more original the more likely i'd be to vote for you.

So who's first to write a new writeup about themselves? And lets get this monthly competition up and running ready for September.

I've just been reading through this post and I think it's a great idea. I have been keeping the banner fresh lol I'm happy to change the banner and have peoples cars in there. It just needs to have the following: 1. Same Dimensions 2. Standard text "All the information on the Fiesta ST" 3. The image must stay on theme or be informative. No offensive/disrespectful images or text. A theme like this would be great. I'm sure it would be monitored without bias.

Reading the original post with talk about a winners signature and monthly banner changes then wouldn't we need a mod to organise it?

Even something like having a different coloured name (instead of blue or pink) to show you're a winner would work? Would be good if one of these companies that sponsor the site would be willing to throw in a little something?

that would be great if we could get one of the companies to 'sponsor' the competition.

Ok, well I think it would be nice if Stevie wrote one, he said in my thread that he was already wanting to do one and might have even started it? If he sees this then....Stevie, would you like to be next?

People can choose what they include in their own writeup so if they want to keep their personal lives a secret they can either choose not to do one or write about their time on the forum or with their cars.
