I'm pretty sure they were molded as one piece, the diffuser didn't clip it in it was part of the bumper and painted black. You could see where the paint wasn't perfect and made it pretty obvious.
Yeah we noticed the reflector too chris, pretty odd! 
I'd happily have it as my car though

Loving the pics, Cap'n Morley, any chance I can get the super high unedited res versions of the ones you got?
Makes a nice change from FITP when nobody seemed to take a camera. Haha.
I'll get ours up as soon as possible.

PS: This was my first time at trying to take photos of moving vehicles on the track. Thanks Kev for some rough tips on which are the best settings. I was trying to get that nice blurry background and wheels with a clear focused car effect rather than it just looking like a stationary car.
You can see them getting *slightly* better as you scroll down.

Cheers Micky, long way to go. I'm still getting to grips with the camera. I still don't know how to do the "multi-shot" thing where you hold down the shutter and it takes a few photos. I had one snap per car to try and get it right.

You want to find the drive mode. On my 450d it's under the self timer options. And you'll want to change the auto focus mode to AI servo so the focus tracks your subject. Not sure if it's different on nikons. Will tell you in the handbook Personally i just keep pushing the shutter and have my camera set to single shooting.

good pics guys. makes me wish Id come now that chrome focus is aaaammmmazing!!!! defo need to get organised and come to more shows next year, problem is they are all so far away from us up north so the show might be cheap to get in but it costs a small fortune in fuel
