You can program the key with the car but in order to do so you need at least 2 keys which are both programmed to the car already. I only have one key so that's me stuffed already
lol
and just to add the programing should be in your manual

I don't think it's really that sort of programming.
It's more a case of hold this button down, press this other button, click such a switch, etc.

you can program the key if you have 2 keys already and IF this option is not blocked in ECU. On my car it was (immobiliser programing), and the procedure didn't work.
the procedure is as follows: Immobiliser programming: Insert your first programmed key and turn it to ignition II, then back to 0 and remove. Insert your second key and do the same. Then insert your new flip fob and follow the same procedure. Check to see that the new fob will start the engine.
for a new flip key you need to get these:
ford mondeo fiesta focus 3 button key fob remote flip: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150667515306?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
blade: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200609701832?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
you take the blade with the code to the keymaker for cutting. you remove the old blade from flipkey by getting the pin out. insert the new blade in and stick the pin back in. also you need to grind abit of plastic on the sides where the blade goes in cos the blade is a little bigger than the original one.
for programing the key (doors/boot): Key programming: Insert first programmed (existing) key and turn to ignition II and back to 0, four times within three seconds. Your dash will beep indicating programming mode which lasts for 20 seconds. Press any button on your new fob. The dash should again beep indicating that the new fob has been taken. Also, if you have any existing radio fobs you'll need to press a button on them at the same time. Wait for a minute after the last button has been pressed, then check to make sure that all radio fobs will lock and unlock the car.
if something isn't clear ask me and I'll explain better.
BTW my notifications still don't work for some topics. I have no idea why. been like that for long time.
cheers.
