So I sold someone a standard Ford headunit from my car on eBay early last month and he's messaged me today saying that he's just tried to install it and the code I've supplied him isn't working for it

I know that the code definitely works because I had to reenter it myself into the radio after removing it from my car in the past. Is there a reason that it wouldn't work when entering it into his vehicle, and if so how can he get it to work correctly?

Want to try and help the guy get it working before he starts asking for a refund, don't particularly think I should be entitled to refunding after nearly 50 days!?

+1 if its the correct code then it will work. No chance of you getting paperwork muddled between your cars?

I bet he had it working fine but he disconnected his battery and when he reconnected it he tried guessing the code too many times (thinking he could remember it) and has now locked himself out of the radio. It was working fine initially.

It needs unlocking by Ford if this is the case.

Well I replied last night offering some support for the guy, asking what the serial was on the unit so I could look up the code to verify it was correct, if he hasn't replied by tonight I'll just tell him to do one, I'm not a technical support company and he's had more than long enough to fit it.
