If the battery had a loose connections surely the radio would lose all of it's settings? The car starts up fine as normal, I'd imagine a loose connection would mean that now and again the car wont start properly?

Mine has been doing this recently too actually. Weird. I did remove my rear wiper motor recently, so I wonder if that's doing it.

Bad connection on the back of the cluster for the permanent live? Would work when the cars switched on but as soon as you turn it off, the permanent live wouldn't cut in to save the settings, wouldn't affect anything else
