We lock the how to thread to stop people editing or removing their posts later down the line. They are extremely helpful so want to keep them safe. We will always move a post in there for anyone who creates one

Ahh, so that's why we can't reply to how to threads to ask more.

Is it not possible to say lock the original useful post but allow conversation below it in case we don't understand something?
