I suppse your right.

But to me in Blackpool, most boy racer cars are shaped like R32's, hatchback style anyway. I.e. Saxos, Novas, Corsas, Plain Golfs.

But then again, if you see an '80 year old' driving an R32, it's hardly a boy racer.

But the reason why i associate the R32 as a boy racer car is because i've only seen one in Blackpool which is a 25 year old guy, who is basically a boy racer in his older youth.

Mase you 100% right there mate. I think sometimes theres just people on here that feel that they have to disagree and make a little polital issue out of everything!

Dont see why a bit of disagreement is a bad thing anyway, not everyone can think exactly the same way

I've come across a Golf GTI who obviously wanted a bit of a dual once and i suprisingly beat him. It was uphill on a dual carrigeway, although i put my foot down whilst still on the adjoining roundabout so maybe he didn't have the bottle to do that! Statistically they aren't as fast as i thought, maybe giving the R32 a bit more market leeway? Still very nice cars though.

I drove is Golf GTI Convertible last week end and have to say I did like it a lot and it was quiet fast but the brake were very bad like if they were any! and no power steering make it very hard to turn even in roundabout!

I had a pop at a modern GTI while on a test drive using one of the dealers brand new ST's that someone ordered but could not get finance (started at 9 miles, ended up about 50 lol) and the golf did'nt stand a chance at high speed. The ST seemed to have loads of power at the top end and pulled away well. VW have put far too much weight on the new ones and i'm sure i would have lost to a well maintained mk1.

lol the GTI is in the same league as the focus ST! we would get battered by both, so either the drivers werent trying or they had no bottle

Thinking back at it, the GTI was'nt the same model that is out now because it was'nt out then. The car was fairly new at the time but that was 9 months ago and it was a 54 plate. Probably was a late register old style one before the 200hp one came out.
