Can you drive around without the rear valance on the car? I need to take mine off to paint it then cable tie it on as it keeps popping off and is getting on my nerves

Cool thanks stevie. Do you have to scratch up the surface of the plastic before you paint it?

Would help the primer take to it better

It is ideal Gary to scratch it jus not to harsh jus a light passing over should do it its only so the paint can key to the plastic.

It is also ok to drive without it on plenty round here do as they have been pinched

I used some fine sandpaper, couple of layers of primer and couple of layers of gloss black, sanding with fine sandpaper between each layer

I was driving my car without all my exterior plastics that used to be grey and also without the interior bits i did for about 2 weeks while i painted them, saves on petrol less weight

I wouldn't scratch it. Get some etching primer instead.

ebay or direct from their website, bit expensive but so much easier than spraying and sanding etc etc
