Spent Monday (that's my weekend) modding the lights in the car.
Not easy on the Fez compared to other cars I've done.
Only probl;em I see is the heater controls have a green filter. I'll have a look into removing that as long as it doesn't destroy the unit.
Next job, the Speedo and the Headlight switches

These are SMD's matey.
For the radio, Air-Con, Recirc, Window Heaters you'll need appc 30x SMD 1206 and about a dozen x PLCC
I bought mine from an ebayer called Jeledhk in China. Fast delivery and excellent quality. I bought 50 of each.

Cardas Solder and Rosin Flux from ebay would be a very good idea too, it's really good stuff.

I've made a start doing the lights in mine. Done window switches, light controls and window heater switches all in red to go with the headunit. Now in the same problem as you where the filter on the heater is a daunting job with that filter

I tried a few weeks ago to fo the Light unit and when I re-assembled the unit the fogs stayed on continously. I gave up trying to find out what happened and bought a new unit instead. I'm kinda nervous opening up the replacement lol

Needs doing though.
