As said my cars breaks are getting really bad squeeling, had 2 seperate mechanics degrase the pads and copper slip them and they just the squeeling just comes back with vengence within a week. Jet washed the hell out of the calipers at the weekend to try and remove some break dust and nothing, still the same. Anyone have any ideas for a solution? Nothing worse than driving around and people looking around to look at you to check if it is a bus or something.

I mean, if they've been copper greased and they're still noisy, then it must be the pads.

Mintex are bad for squealing, try doing a super heavy braking test on them, get on an open road with no one about stop from 60-70mph down to 10mph a few times that should help clear anything out

you need to clean the bits the calipers drop into. they sit in what i can only describle as a ledge. i filed these down before fitting my ultimax pads.

mine only squeal a tiny bit when cold and doing a very slow stop.

Just been talking to a mechanic about noisy brakes. If the pads are glazed it can cause this issue.
Drive about half a mile with the brakes slighty on and it'll deglaze them.
May work.

I just read something quite interesting on another forum:

"If going the mintex route, make sure you use their ceratek anti squeal grease as any other copperslip or similar paste has always led to brake squeal when using mintex pads in my experience."
