two thing ST is fast, fun great handling and look superb. Zetec-s tdci first it a diesel not a good start its similar to an ST its economical to run and to insurance compared to the ST which is not economical at all and pricey to insurance. That depend of ur budget and how much ready to spend for ur car. If ur driving a lot get TDCI cheaper, if not get the ST If I was u got for the ST

I know all of that , thats why its so hard for me to say yay or nay, but since ive had a lot of thinking time whilst waiting, there are a few things that ive noticed. 1,i think im beginning to dislike the headlamps . 2,the st sits a tad too high for my liking .
I know these things also apply to the zetec-s , and i know i can change them if i really want to, but im messing around with a brand new car . will the changes (especially lowering the height) affect my warranty and will it affect my insurance , if so by how much ? If i can get it lowered and maybe change the lamps then looks wise i would go for it tomorrow ( i think lol ) hell its doin my head in.

Hi there Welcome to the site and forum. I'm guessing you're not liking the little blob that is there on the facelift headlights? I'm pretty sure that you can change them if you dislike them. Certainly ones have been done on pre-facelift mk6 Fiestas, so I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be the case that they can be changed on the facelift. With lowering it, it will only affect the warranty in regards to to anything it affects. I.e. if something goes wrong because of lowering then the warranty won't be valid, for everything else the warranty will still apply. You would have to inform your insurer, but not sure how much it would add on. I'm sure someone whos lowered theirs will be able to answer this!! Take care ChrisC

Hey?!
So you're 41 then?
Older than me - 40 in September!
I pay £350 fully comp. Protected with only £100 excess.
I've had one claim in the last zillion years. I'm sure you could beat those quotes.
Steve

Its a lot to do with the post code and the job you do....I always get hit for my job.....i have 13 years NCD and live in an OK postcode am 36 but still have to cough up £502 cos I work in the entertainment industry....I have always though the postcode & job thing is a scam but we seem to be stuck with the rubish system...some people must win I guess?
