Been using it for about a week now, it's basically just V-Power with extra cleaning stuff in it, 1.459 up my way so not too bad really.

Replacing v-power at 2p more a litre.

Can put money in that its still v-power in the tank's

Tesco sell 99 stuff at a much cheaper rate and seems to do me better

Unless your car is mapped for it you won't notice a difference really.

Jake Humphrey was on the radio this morning pushing this........!!

Waste of time and money if you ask me, perhaps in a high performance car but there ain't gonna be any difference in a fiesta except perhaps psychological and a lighter wallet

Unless you own a Ferrari or something then you aren't ever going to notice the difference mapped or not. At 1RON extra the difference will be so tiny you could probably only see the results of it in a lab or in a test under lab conditions.

i read that you need to run at least three tanks of fuel before you will see any difference in the new fuel?

You won't notice a difference after 3 tanks, not unless your car is actually mapped for it.

The Fiesta is mapped for 95RON in this country, and although the knock sensor will cause the engine to compensate when a higher RON fuel is detected, it will only allow the engine to run correctly when using it, you won't see a higher gain.

If the car is mapped for it, or from the factory is designed to use high octane fuels, then you will make a difference.

BP do 102 octane in some of their stations since 2006...

difference of 0.000994 octane for an extra 2p.

Shell are laughing their way to the bank.

This fuel isn't marketed as giving more power (Name is deceptive though), it's just regular V-Power but has better cleaning elements which are overall kinder to your engine.

Sainsburys petrol for me. The free tyre air machine more than seals it. I check they're correct every time I go!

even if its 'kinder to your engine' the extra you spend each time you top up you may as well just save and buy a new engine with in the long run

I find mine gets a lot more pops and bangs with 99 over 95, it also idles better with the cams, and I get better mpg, I try to use it once every month for a tank as said above it helps clean the engine, I also use it for trackdays as the car seems to get a lower sound reading on it...

i use v power all the time if i can, seems to last longer than ordinary fuel as well. two weeks ago i had to put momentum 99 in, then bp ultimate and then back to v power. The car certainly felt more responsive as soon as i put it in. Definitely notice the pops and bangs on it
