I'm mainly aiming this at football fans but anyone who has a minute to spare I'd like to borrow your time.

Basically I'm looking for signatures on this petition as well as people sharing it on (hence why this is off topic and not members area). IT TAKES LESS THAN A MINUTE TO SIGN!

http://www.fsf.org.uk/petitions/20plenty/

I was a football fan before I was even born and I've been regularly going to matches since I was 6. Up until the last few years when I've had to start paying for myself to go I'd never realised the cost of truly following your team.

As a rough indication of ticketing in this country, so far this season the average ticket price I've paid home/away in the premiership is equal to £50, the most I've paid is £62 away at Arsenal. This is before travel and beer money on the day.

This has to change for the future of football as the game of the working class.

I'm a passionate fan who will happily book days off work for football and will ultimately pay the cost to ensure I have a ticket, but any help in bringing this down or at least bringing it to the attention of those who make the decisions, can only be beneficial.

Sorry for boring all the non football fans on here but I would gratefully ask for 1 minute just to sign it and similarly I would say to anyone on here, if there is a petition that you want backing, post it up!

Cheers

Liam

I've signed it

Even my beloved Millwall (a lower club I know) charge £25-28 for home games, which I think is quite expensive for them

nice one Bex

doesnt matter on the club, prices are all relative to the quality of football and theyre all too high.

Signed. Since Stole were promoted to the Premier League, I've not attended a game. I agree with all of your points made, Liam. I think the same should apply to international matches too.

I'd love it to change but don't think it will. I bet the tickets barely cover the wage bill for 2 weeks (playing at home then away)

they need to cap/ reduce players wagers first especially considering the current economic climate and the fact that they earn an absolutely obscene amount per week

there is a chance now as people are noticing what is happening in germany and as a model it does work.

What makes me laugh is that the majority of footballers are paid millions per year and give so little back despite humble beginnings.

Good man Rob

It's a drop in the ocean right now but it can build and once it's noticed it will only reinforce the current PL fears.

Some teams like West Spam do kids for a quid, that's a great idea
