Dave posted this yesterday on stoc
Not been on for a while and thought I'd put a few club members out of their misery (well almost - that's not our style is it

)
You'll be seeing the press release from Ford on our forthcoming ST kits this month and we'll be welcoming you to mountune HQ for Fiesta fitting from that point onwards.
I'd like to offer a few bits of info if I may that will hopefully answer some questions I've seen on this thread. I might not get a chance to get back on here (I haven't for a while), so please take the info here with its best intentions and I hope that it bides you over until the official release is made.
We have a unique relationship with Ford that means (despite the longer time to market) lots of car enthusiasts have the option to upgrade their cars performance without fear of affecting their base vehicle warranty. To ensure your warranty isn't affected it means certain testing has to be undertaken (that takes time and costs a lot of money) and limits need to be adhered too - in-cylinder pressure, turbo speeds etc.
Other tuners don't even have the tools to measure things like cylinder pressures, let alone the knowledge of what the manufacturer's of the engine have identified as 'their' safe limit / areas of concern.
Because of our own reputation and this association, we can't just band around figures that look good in an advert or on a forum. We don't measure our outputs from where the standard engine rolls over (the throttle is electronically closing at this point even if your foot is still on the throttle) - it just creates a confusing figure that leads to apples being compared with oranges, but it's unarguably great for a headline!
You'll get the numbers we provide and most importantly, you'll get OE-level engineering with another level in performance. Excellent drivability, added character and of course a much faster car - when you feel like it
all backed by the manufacturer. Historically our kits are also easier / cheaper to insure and leave the vehicles residual value unaffected / higher than otherwise modified.
There are numerous cases on the different forums where a 'lower' output mountune converted car is quicker than a brand 'x' higher output car - just do a search on here, FocusSTOC or FocusRSOC and see for yourself.
As has always been the case historically, where there's an MP kit, there will be an MR kit that builds on the existing hardware and takes it that little bit further - to a level that 'we' deem safe based on the knowledge we've gained over the past 30 years of working with engine's, combined with the knowledge gained during the kits development process. Those coming to FordFair will also see additional new products to compliment the new ST available to take away on the day so there's lots to look forward to this year!
Nobody, other than those based around the program at Ford and mountune (and the likes of Josh by the look of it - although he seems to know what he can and can't say), know what the kit contains, the power outputs, or the costs. We haven't told any re-sellers or dealers (despite their best efforts). So anything you might've been told, take it with a big pinch of salt until you see the press release and subsequent press reviews.
Cars already modified (that have therefore technically lost their warranty) can't be updated with our MP kit and added back into the warranty system. Ford want to ensure complete traceability and as we have to pay any warranty claims further down the line on a vehicle it must come in to us / the dealer in a standard form (from a performance point of view) before it can be upgraded. Just keep that in mind before diving in elsewhere first as we always have the same discussions each time a kit is released with customers that were not informed of this.
Finally for this evening, It's never a case that we can't get the most power - just look at our championship winning race engines for proof about that (Tanner Foust's 600bhp Duratec Turbo Fiesta Rallycross car for example). It's purely for the reasons detailed above.
