For some reason my steerings started making a creaking noise at low speed manoeuvre and when I'm parking. I can feel it through the steering wheel when it does it like a quick knocking feeling. It'll do it when i turn the wheel one way then stop, then start again when i do it the other way. Has anyone got any ideas?

£25 for a Lemforder one, £17 for a cheaper branded one at EuroCarParts. Seems reasonable

Simple too do as well, undo the locking nut half a turn and unbolt. New one on and re-do the locking nut back up.

Then after its settled out take it for tracking.

That's not to bad by the sounds of it. Would it be an advisory on an mot or a failure? I've got my mot next month

Went out and jacked the car up. The passenger wheel doesn't rock from left to right when you hold it at 9 and 3 but do the same on the drivers side and it moves quite a bit. This probably sounds like a daft question but the right hand side tie/track rod from euro car parts would be the drivers side wouldn't it?

yes it would but the same one will probably fit both sides anyway. when you take the old off makesure you count the rotations so you can get tracking roughly the same as before
