Collecting my new ST later today and getting quite excited now. Popped in to the main dealers showroom last week to have a chat about ordering one to find they had one in the showroom that was still for sale. So pulled the trigger there and then. Not quite the spec I was after (no Nav) and not my first choice colour (it is Molten Orange I prefer the blue) but decided I wanted the car now to drive during the summer rather than endure the long wait. And the dealer "helped" my decision by giving me a discount and some extras to allow him to register the vehicle on 31 July. Happy days !

If any one here fancies a Range Rover Sport TDv8 2007, one careful owner and FLRSH then let me know. The ST is going to be very different after 6 years in a big 4x4 (albeit a bloody fast one). I had a Corrado VR6 Storm before the RRS and loved that car to bits. Hope the ST is something similar to that

Finally got home after a long detour on winding roads up Weardale ;0) Pity its been torrential rain all day so not ideal first drive conditions. But I so totally "get it" now. The most surprising & pleasing thing is the amount of torque the ST dishes up. Pulls strongly from 1,500 revs in every gear - amazing. Means you can happily tootle about if you don't fancy doing big boot fulls. Ride feels a little choppy on rough surfaces, but the seats are excellent at absorbing that so it doesn't translate into anything that would affect your back bone. Just a soft tissue wobble rather than a bone shaking bash effect. Well pleased !
