Just found this on the other st site, its part of the Fiesta Sport Series December 2004 Brochure/Newsletter. This should put the debate to rest for ESP in the UK (see the right hand column!)

I wonder how much it will cost?

Yes, Cost of the option is important! But also, do you think that it would be worth the wait of people looking to place orders soon?

Nice one Chris!

Supercharged: In my opinion - no. From what everyone who's driven the ST has said so far it handles so well it'd probably interfere more than anything.

It's on my Mondeo and I wouldn't care less if it wasn't.

Indeed! And would you pay the 500 odd quid for it anyway?

The man has a point actually! It's not like it'll reduce the insurance premiums or anything so why bother!

You do not need it on this car, do not waste your money on it.

I still buy the things i want, its not gonna be on if i drive it. but this car is also gonna be used by my mam (multiple times a day) and she has never driven a high bhp car so the esp could come in handy in not forseen situations

isn't ESP one of those things you never realy want until after you've needed it and didn't have it?!

Also the remarq if you can't drive fast cars don't buy'em.. sorry but that's bullshit. I buy this car mostly for the looks, secondly for the performance. Not to drive it on the limit but hey, leaves in a bend while you are pushing it a bend and that ESP does wonders.. right?

Still would be nice to experience ESP before I buy it at 9000 euros.. any ideas just incase me testdrive has ESP?

Gonna say as 9000 Euros is about £6000 which is about 1/2 the price of an ST, so i defo think its 900, so about £600 for the electronic gizzmo. Is there anyway aftermarket option for this guys? As i have know ideas what it works from?
