Since having the ST I've noticed that the main beam isn't as good as my previous car, a pug 307. I love the wider spread near to the car as I work nights and drive along some small country lanes but the throw isn't as good to the extent that it is very noticeable. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of replacing the present (H15 I think) bulbs with something that might help.

Also has anyone any experience of brighter reversing lamp bulbs? As the car has privacy glass side and rear, it does degrade the amount of light available to go backwards by.

Plus, led bulbs, anyone care to comment on them as replacements for standard ones, indicators, tail, brake?

Cheers guys, although the sidelights not so much an issue as I have led daylight running lamps as standard. Just been looking at indicators and reversing led bulbs on ebay. Some promising items there although the led reversing bulbs seem to be rather long and apparently prone to dislodging as a result.

Just looked at the hid4u site they do what seems a nice set of dipped HID lamps just not beam, apparently.

Just fitted some nice red leds in my footwells. Thought the standard 501s were rather bright for what they are needed for, shall see how they look later.

Also bought a couple of 5w led bulbs for the reversing lights. After looking at what seems to be a dockyard job removing trim and carpets to change any bulbs in the rear light clusters, decided it's not worth the hassle for now, will wait until I buy the other bulbs I want.

Yes, the Mk7 ST has already got the lights in place, they are bright enough to read a book by, if you really want to contort yourself down that far into the footwell.
