Just been offered a £600 discount on a standard car with metallic. The STEALER claimed there is only £800 profit in the car which equates to about a 6% Margin which i would suggest is a little low.

£1100 would be 8% profit which i would think is closer to the truth. so i will be needing an £800 discount (If you are a car dealer reading this, feel free to email Me!!!!!!!)

Group buy anyone ??

7% was the discount I've been offered on it and what should be the same in all Belgium according to dealership number 1. This car is launching in Belgium at a motorshow however so was hoping for some extra discounts.
Second dealer also tells me 7% but agrees there's always a bit more room.. very protective however so will be happy if i get a figure rounded of

So few days later at yet another dealer I get 6% standard discount and and top of that another nice motorshow-discount. Hehe, at the very minimum I can get another % out of this to make it 7% base With the motorshow-discount that would make a whopping 14% off. Yes I'm still a happy camper even without the ESP

I negotiated a price for the ST today from the local dealer in Cheltenham.

I showed him the quote from drivethedeal.com (£12,900 with metallic paint, interior pack, reflex pack and side stripes).

He said they should be able to match that when I order on Monday!!
I worked out that the list price for the car plus options was over £14,000 so i'm well chuffed!

Chris

I must say, on a car that is in such rare supply at the moment and so new I am very dissapointed to be hearing about how much they are willing to drop the price by.

Don't get me wrong, it's good for people that they are getting discounts, but it does suggest that demand isn't currently all that high. Without a high level of demand future projects will be at risk.

Well yes, there is that but I'm not so worried as the exisiting 'normal' Fiesta's hold their prices pretty well.
