it does appear that my has no reverse lights! i have checked the bulbs and changed them and still no joy so myself and my work mates have come to conclusion its probably the reverse light switch which luckily i can get cheap replacement from our place!!

has anyone had to replace this before and if so was it a big job??

just screws in to the gearbox innit, should be fairly easy (though I should imagine you'll have to watch out for gearbox oil leakage)

It sits on top of hte gearbox. Two wires go into it. Remove the connector and undo the switch. No oil will come out. Put new switch in, re-connect and away to go.

Just check the fuses first.
