My local club has already considered closing a road to do autotests as they're struggling to find venues on private land.
Apparently it would have cost £600 to close a road ?? but they decided it was too much. It would have been about £30 extra on the entry fee which actually isn't too bad, as only a small bit of road would be needed for autotest.
Not sure how locals will react to this kind of thing though, I can't imagine everyone would be happy about having a road closed so some old Micras can drive around cones doing handbrake turns for a day

Same for hillclimbs, sprints and rallies too I imagine, as people aren't used to it.
