I've come to the conclusion that, for now, I'm not going to make any more mechanical mods. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the cost vs gain for exhaust/manifold/sports cat isn't worth it right now.

So, my question is this - where do I go to get a good custom map and how much should I expect to pay? There are some old threads on this, but nothing current enough to be relevant!

If I were you and want bang for buck I wouldn't tune a na car
However your probably best off trying to get hold of some second hand parts, exhaust etc, can save a fortune

isn't much point in having the 60mm throttle body if your not doing the rest to be honest.

it's all well worth having a little play with more power though, no point mapping if you haven't got much else though

Ahhhh fair enough, doesn't it help the engine run smoother, although its alot of money just for that

I would get the rest of the exhaust tbh

That's a resounding majority in favour of the exhaust! The TB was a enlarged standard unit, got it on eBAY for £80 and it has indeed made the car smoother. Maybe I'll wait it out for a decent 2nd hand exhaust then..

Second hand stainless exhausts are a great buy... save loads of money and you can clean them up to look pretty new with bit of time.

My back box was only £50 on ebay and the manifold was £150 used from Pumaspeed.

You're probably best off getting a full system. If you want Milltek, they come up on ebay quite a bit.
