Eastertime, detailing time !

First i started by getting my stuff and tools ready.

Than it started like every year crazy

First up the wheel arches.

Started at the read axle

Off the wheels and took a closer look shock

Started with a all purpose cleaner (Meg APC)

And with some help from my Kränzle pressure washer and some brushes...

Next up: Front axle

Just the same work done as in the rear

Wheels back on and lets have a closer look!

Dirt

Spiders

Pollen

more pollen

As always i started with the wheels:

Gtechniq C5 still going strong after 1year !

Engine bay:

Rust....

I covered the engine to prevent damage. After pics follow later in this thread

Washing time: thumbs

buttrock

Cartman !

After the wash it was time to get the car inside.

Its time for some new paint protection

Tools ready

Removed some parts

The car was clayed but without results...

The cheapo working cart lol

Next: Polishing

Used my Flex 3401 excenter polisher, a orange lake country foampad and some meg#205 (wich is a light finishing polish)

Super light scratches.. think its ok after one year of just washing.

Polished

Hood done.

Your driverside lol

DONE

Nothing to show at the rear light.

But here is something to show.

Frontwing before....

... and after polishing

50/50 Your passenger door headbang

Done. Time for...

... carwax from bouncer !

Aplication was quite easy but removing was a bit complicated.
Usually i use super plush microfibers with long fibers.....
Didnt work at all so i changed to a shorter pile.

This did the trick. thumbs

After this was done i used 303 Aerospace Protectant in the engine bay, cleaned the winndows, dressed the tires and put the car back together.

Out in the sun for some finish pics !

Thats it ! Still a lot to do but at least the paintword is in nearly perfect condition again. thumbs

Thanks for reading if you have made it this far crazy

Looks fantastic and your stuff looks really organised.
What products do you use for finishing the engine bay?

The Engine bay was dressed with 303 Aerospace Protectant, wich is in the way it works and looks quite similar to Meguiars Engine Dressing or Meguiars Hyperdressing.

Just spray in the engine bay wet or dry, then wait a few hours and remove excess with a clean microfiber.

Thanks for all your kind words guys. thumbs
More to come the next weeks/months

Thanks again for your comments bowdown

Yesterday i was searching for noises on the car.... again...

The doors are sorted a few weeks ago, but the seat was still making strange noises.

So removed some parts....

And with somehelp of my friend WD40 the noise is history for now...

The other thing is a strange noise from under the car...
After hours of searching i found out that the noise is coming from the belt tensioner... mad

So orderd everything new.. belt, tensioner and the roll... together with some service parts.. oil, spark plugs, filters etc...

Hope to get this done asap to be 100% happy with my car again...

Yeah it almost drives me to sell the car crazy

Sure there are noises in my car everywhere and to be honest is has to be this way. Because its a ford with a stiff suspension.

But there are the standard noises wich i don´t mind and there are the none standard noises wich drive me mad rant

Every time I open this thread I'm seriously impressed with the amount of effort you put into this car! You can't sell it!
