Ok my friend just called me back and he says they do need "fiddling" to get them to fit. He says the problem with any aftermarket light (lexus ones, LED's etc) is they never fit 100%.
Hold the light as if its on the car. At the top of the light you've got the squared off edge that sits nearest the glass of the boot and the rounded edge on the left. Flip the light round and look at it from the back. He says you have to take a bit of sandpaper to the rounded edge (I think there's a lip or edge there?). The more you sand paper it, the further back it will sit and eventually it should sit flush and the boot shouldnt hit it. He also says to make sure the prongs on the back that go in the holes are pushed in properly (I hope that last bit makes sense!)
He said you can send them back to ESP but they've come from the same mould as all the other lights and they probably wont see anything wrong with it and send it right back.
Up to you Amanda!
