and you only need to get a small one, car ones aren't massive like the ones you have at work.

this made me laugh so much at the thought of carrying round a full size one from work

Cheers Chris and Kenny, will pick one up today

has anyone seen the new rules if not then

◦Bucket seats with ‘ears’ (as the Germans delightfully refer to them) are not allowed. Those are the seats with wrap-around head restraints.
◦The famous Hans device neck-restraint is also banned from public driving.
◦Roll cages with doorbars that restrict access are banned.
◦Roll cages must be padded. Not with proper FIA crash-absorbing materials. Nobody will check that. Just any old foam will do.
◦Aftermarket snap-off steering wheels are also verboten.

Road legal race cars no longer welcome
It sounds bad, but there’s already a bunch of banning reasons you won’t find written down anywhere, stuff like wings made of aluminium (except for Porsche 997 GT3 RS Mk2s), rotary-release harness clasps (except for those on Porsches) and any wings or canards that protrude beyond the width of the body (except for those on the Porsche GT3.RS 4.0). Obviously these rules are there to try and keep the race cars out of the public traffic, and there’s an official notice period on the enforcement of them until April 30 allegedly...

250 euros drifting penalty
Yes, they’ve put it in writing at last. No drifting. And they’re even backing up all of these rules with a 250 euros fine that you’re supposed to have agreed to pay simply by reading the contract and driving the track. Much like we all read the End User License Agreement on every new piece of software we install or phone that we buy.

Which country is Porsche from, and where's the Nurburgring again?

Indeed. I'm getting the gearbox oil changed on Sat so hoping this resolves the 2nd gear synchromesh issue i'm currently having. I also need a few other bits doing. If all thumbs up then the Nurburgring will be having a flying Clio Sport taking it on

With Silverstone reducing the track I won't be getting the clio out of storage and seems silly to insure & tax for 1 month. I'm going to skip the ring this year with the baby due in April and funds being stretched while Sarah's on maternity. I shall still be getting the Clio preped for this though so 2014 ill have it set as a true track weapon. I'm a little angry at fordfair/Trax changing to the national track. Thought I'd shout now.

If anyone of you is planning to go to the NOS in the beginning of april (12.14. april), let me know! i will be there with parts of the german community to watch the vln and race on our own!
especially sunday morning is the perfect time for exploring the track as there is lots of rubber and few other cars on the track!

cheers
Phil
