stick with the ford recommened eibach springs, any lower and your struts will bottom out all the time on bad roads. Otherwise go for full suspension kits like Bilstein B12 etc.

No, Spax aren't crap, lower than the Eibachs and Ford recognise them, I'd go that way

Ford don't recognise Spax, they're aftermarket. The only lowering spring kit Ford recognise that don't affect the warranty are the Eibach.

Spax aren't crap though, they're just different.

I rate Eibach as they're the ones I use... I'm happy with the height, ride quality, and having thrown the ST round Lydden Hill, Castle Combe, and the Nurburgring I'm totally satisfied with how they handle on track too.

to be honest though who still has a warranty on their mk6 fiesta ST nowadays? ive been eyeing up the fk ak street coilovers but again I don't want too crashy ride for daily drives, so its either new shocks and spax springs or the FK coilovers .. smirk

Oh yes, I know, but at least you know they are approved to work on the standard shocks. GMax springs on my old MK5 Fiesta knackered the shocks within 8 weeks.

I have the Bilstein B12 kit with Eibach springs. Loves it. Stiff but not uncomfortable.

Id happily splash out for coil overs, only here New Zealand, you have to certify them, which is a bulls**t process of having some guy looking at your installation to say it's legit, while charging you $500 to do so.

Coming from a background of modifying cars and losing money, especially on my last MK2 Golf project I bought the Fiesta trying to be sensible... which is slowly starting to lose traction haha.

Other thing is, some of the pics I have seen with the 35mm Eibachs look much lower than others... again, living in NZ it costs a lot to get this stuff here, so I have to be careful not to get the wrong choice and have to pay through the nose to rectify it again...

Decisions, decisions, I appreciate all input though!

Most people who have lowered their cars using springs use Eibach. Almost all people rate them highly. And because it doesn't (or didn't) void the Ford warranty you know that they are not going to cause no damage to anything else.

Eibach are the way forward in my eyes thumbs

Well... from what I have seen Im looking at $240ish NZD for spax or $320ish NZD for Eibachs...

Shipping will cost at least another $260NZD from the UK to NZ, so minimum $500 NZD.

It so happens I have a mate returning to the UK for 2 weeks next week and hes offered to bring a set of springs back for me, which may make this much a cheaper exercise.

Being so isolated, shipping to NZ is just expensive upset
