Perez got penalised for that one after the race, seems about right to me.

Quote:
Having investigated the incident, the stewards judged that Perez had changed his racing line which caused the impact with Massa. The Mexican will therefore drop five places on the grid for the Formula 1 Grosser Preis von Osterreich 2014 in two weeks' time.

Should be a good race all a bit more mixed up for this one, nice to Willams doing good, despite been a Mclerean fan at heart

Looking ahead to next year...

A rule change will see the end of rolling starts after a safety car incident, and standing starts introduced as apparently Bernie thinks it's not exciting enough at the moment as the leader normally doesn't get overtaken at the restart.

Just read this that goes into a bit more detail than what I'd read yesterday:

http://www1.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/...f1-rule-changes

It will be a standing restart after the safety car... unless... the safety car is deployed within two laps of the start (or a restart), or within five laps from the end, in which case it will start as now. It doesn't make clear, but if I've got it right I think that the cars will trundle around behind the safety car until the incident is cleared, then they'll line up on the grid to restart - in other words stopping so they can start again. crazy

I think it could work. They would only have to stop for around 30 seconds. They are all close anyway.

What they need to sort out is the un lapping of lapped cars. It takes way too long!
