Sorry to resurrect this old thread haha! Was just having a look through for some pics to put on Instagram, and noticed the forum used to have a gazebo? Have we still got it?? Would be good to take to future shows to make us stand out a bit more

Oh god not the full on gazebo putting up and taking down debacle ..... Don't think my nerves could take it!

Unless somethings happenned to it very recently, then we still do have the gazebo. Only couple of issues are that we obviously can't use it if we're on concrete, and the other is that although I always give the dimensions of it to Future (organisers of FF/Trax) they don't always give us enough space. One year when it was boiling hot at Ford Fair and we really needed it up so that everyone had somewhere to cool and chill out in, we actually parked one of the cars on the stand inside the gazebo!!

Good idea that having one up at a show

If we ever did want to put it up (which I dread I add ) on concrete I can fetch some large stage weights from work that are 25kg each with handles to tie the guy lines to, not sure what sticking a load of them on the boat of Monty will do to my handling or fuel consumption mind

I think I need to comment here.

The gazebo, our trusty friend; attended many shows. It was assembled and dissembled many times. It was held together with tent pegs, duck tape and cable ties. Throughout its life it served as a fantastic shelter from both the rain and the sun. At 1/10th of the cost of STOC's it also put theirs to shame, with them coming over to ours for shelter.

In older years it lived in Kev's Moms Shed. It was dry and warm (in the summer). It was transported around in the back of Kevs car with the seats down. The box became ripped and this unfortunately lead to the demise of the gazebo. After lengthy surgery it was deemed lost. A tear was shed but it was time to say goodbye. The gypsy men took it away and probably used it to weld a car together or something.

In the near future a new one will be purchased to replace this faithful friend.

A new one that is EASY to put up must be one of the key rueles!! Costco had big dommed Event Shelters as the called them in last week, from what I could see 4 poles slide into the material then peg it down

Yeh let's get one, can get one cheap at Costco as Dave says
