I've seperated all the posts for this off and moved to here where it's in a more relevant.

I'm happy to chip in for this, the same as myself and a number of others did to purchase the last one seven years ago, however I'll discuss funding options with Scott when he gets back early next week. thumbs

Sounds good to me......saw the same on in my CPC magazine this week http://cpc.farnell.com/coleman/2000009569/event-shelter-12-x-12/dp/LH03475 there is an option for a sun wall which maybe handy to create a wind break on one side?

I'm happy to chip in on this. The subscriptions aren't as much as people might imagine. It will be going towards a function next year for us. I wanted to sort something this year but haven't had the time.

Ideally it would be something easy to assemble. The biggest issue we had of previous years was the fact people didn't want to help assemble/disassemble. They walked off then conveniently come back when it was too sunny or raining to use it... then buggered off home. Leaving Me, Sarah, Chris and Kev to do the leg work... even when pelting down with rain (Rockingham).

Points:

1. Needs to be of sufficient design and area to fit 20 people in.
2. Needs to be water proof (roof area/sides covering a good area - unlike the pointless STOC Tent which blocks 5% of rain and allows 95% to get in.
3. Need to decide who's looking after it

A few things to throw out happy

I believe you can connect them together too. The alternative is to go for a better quality gazebo.

Another one - this is the same but the harder wearing "Deluxe" variant.

12 x 12 Normal = £128.00
15 x 15 Normal = £139.99
15 x 15 Deluxe = £249.95

Answers on a post card.

Don't consider anything other than a Coleman. Coleman event shelters are easy to put up, extremely sturdy in wind and very good with waterproofing/rain.

Sounds a very good review. Any idea on the worth of upgrading from the standard to the Deluxe?

I'm happy to facilitate this and sort it out if people are able to pledge what they would like to donate towards it? Depending on the amount will depend on if we go for the Standard 15x15 or the Deluxe 15x15. Obviously the Deluxe offers far better material and will withstand the sun/rain and wind better.
