Has anyone else fitted the front one, had mine on but the securing nuts (the original ones) won't tighten down enough only 3 or 4 turns, so they aren't in safety.
Had the ST lowered yesterday at ford, and they recommended that I leave the strut brace off, as the nuts were unsafe (I could off signed a disclaimer but as I wasn't 100% happy already)
Has anyone else had this issue or are the original nuts ok, I know there self locking nuts, but they don't work 100% unless the bolt protrudes out the top.
Looking at getting some smaller, not as high, nuts from somewhere just need to find out the size now
Cheers

Managed to get hold of some nyloc nuts for the turret tops, not a final solution as it gets a little hot in the engine bay lol. Still struggling to find some proper lock nuts, for a long term solution.

Will add some pics tonight of the height of the nuts there's quite a difference in height

heres some pics of the difference in the two nuts

Factory lock nut on right
the nyloc's i've fitted on the left (with large washers)

theres a big differance between the 2.

the braces do look good though, and with the little driving ive done this weekend the car feels a lot tighter.

sorry no pics of the rear lower but its pi**ing down here

Yeh they don't seem right at all, I wouldn't be happy driving using the original ones.....!!

Would definitely be emailing those pics over to the manufacturer
