Hello All
Iam trying to get hold of the under bonnet sound pad for my ST on a 2005 plate I managed to get a pert number but it's for the 3/5 door saloon and deisel van. Does anyone know if this is the correct item 1342462.I know there are items I can buy out there for a DIY job but I also know that there are issues with the air box so factory visited unit is preferred, but any tips on this issue would be much appreciated
Cheers

Most Fiesta's came with the under bonnet sound deadening, however it wasn't included on the ST due to the heat buildup from the bigger engine - plus the fact that it rested on the airbox when the bonnet was shut.

I think it'll fit but will be tight with the standard airbox. If you've got an aftermarket filter, take the box off and the sound deadening should fit better but I'd definitely still keep an eye on under bonnet temperatures.

It was on the diesels (tdci's) due to the noise, and the Ghia's AFAIK.

As said above, mk6 st's didn't have sound deadening. The sound proofing I used was in the form of two amps, 4 uprated speakers and a subwoofer. snigger

cheers Kenny, here you go Domf, most Mk6 came with it except for the ST, order extra clips as easy to break and whenever you take them off they weaken or break, I also have a proper trim clip removal tool that prises them off evenly, I would suggest some deadening stuck on as well, then add the soundproofer, probably a photo of mine in the one stop modification topic.

standard fiesta bonnet soundproofer part numbers

1342462 - £55 (bonett soundproofer)
6678518 - 6ct (Clips) think you will need 14 pcs.
