All Rory did was hit a few balls with a stick

He did a lot more this season than just win the Championship. As Darren said above really!

all the above in the fastest car....... put any of the top drivers in Hamilton's car and they would've gone close.

Plus Hamilton was 1 of only 2 people who could've won the F1 this year, him & Rosberg.

Virtually anyone of maybe 25 can win a major in golf, a much tougher achievement

Its not just about the achievement though is it, everyone forgets the main word in the title "Personality"

Hes not the asshole he use to be, hes alot more in the public eye so more people would recognise him aswell

Rory did all the above with the best clubs. You couldn't sit anyone in the fastest F1 car and expect them to win the championship in the same way you couldn't give anyone the best golf clubs in the world and expect them to win the major. There is a lot of skill involved in both sports so rubbishing Hamilton's recognition because he was in the fastest car doesn't really gel.
