So I know the process and a handful of good products but I don't know what products work well together etc etc. If anyone could give me the process with relevant products then that would be appreciated! Also I dont want crazy expensive products as I go through villages daily so I clean my car at least 3 times a week.

am trying to keep things simple now and use less products and more all-in-one products, some of the big names are just well I find to hard to work with, meguiars, AG really difficult to buff off, only seperates I use are Poorboys, if I feel the paintwork needs a particular type of attention then I will use a poorboys product, black hole glaze, SSR1 or the polish, but i do find PB is hard work to take off as well.

So, for me its Auto Finesse Lather wash, regular top up wax then it's meguiars Quik detailer as it mists on and off so well best product they do, adds some beading for a few weeks. AutoFinesse Tripple for polish and wax in one, goes on really easy and comes off very easy and little dusting. For pure Wax then Collinite 915 or even smoother and richer R222 both of these leave a deep finish and stunning beading for weeks.

Okay cheers guys, didn't realise people made detailing threads but thats just me being lazy and not looking for things! I'm currently trying to give my car as good a clean as I can as I have a free day for once, I've been gifted a handful of products so want to try and use them before I splash out on my own set. What would you recommend to use if any?

forgot always clay car once per year, if you do anything do that, leaves a glass finish making washing and polishing so much easier.

IMO dodo are one of the hardest produts to use IMO,poor boys is the easiest I have ever used and that's the hole range and well priced to,and I'm with rob auto glym is not good stuff

And as Steve has said keep on top of the polish and a long lasting wax,I put a 3 coat wax on just over a month ago and today the car was the dirtiest it's been since I had it and washing it was like I done it only 2 days ago,it was so easy to clean,oh and buy a good wheel sealant

Wax addict stuff is also some of the best I've used Edition 19 is brilliant

Kenny, have you tried the 3 products above, I'd be very surprised if you used them & weren't impressed tbh

I'll try red mist and purple haze some time, Megs Quick Detailer though can recommend as I said just seems to evaporate as you buff off.

i have used the shampoo and the purple haze in fact i used it once and remember giving it to steph i think.

dont get me wrong there quick detailer i use and find it good so not all bad,i suppose once you stick with a product for years its hard to think the other brands are good etc if you know what i mean, maybe i should mix things up a bit

I think as well it depends in the particular cars paint etc that'll have an impact on each product
