basically at every building or in the street or in the hotel car parks there are indians who will clean your car for a couple of quid

still absolutely loving the car
bit of a pain having to have it washed almost every day due to the sand

had a photoshoot planned for yesterday but the guy had other stuff to do so we will try to do it this weekend

The ZL1 is quite rare, being that there are only 4 2015 ZL1 models that came to Saudi this year (I have one and I have already encountered two of the others), but you see a few more Camaros in general. Still quite rare though

They are the rarest out of the 3 main Muscle Car Coupes though (Mustang, Challenger, Camaro) with the Mustang being the most common.

About £1.10 a litre atm, prices have come down massively

that means you're looking at £79 to fill the tank and with an average of 17mpg...

My mates bmw does the same as that

was playing around with it in manual mode this weekend, the noise and the pops and bangs after giving it some in 2nd or 3rd...

so this is how my car stands at the moment...







I know most of you will be shocked as most of you are clean freaks however the current weather here makes it impossible to keep clean.

Its raining a little everyday at the moment, once the car is clean, if it rains, it looks like this again

i know i know, but its a waste of time and effort cleaning it when within a day it is back to the same

Get it properly protected and sealed and a quick jet wash and n it'll be bang on.

All that crap will be sat on top of the protective layer and not the paint

no such thing as jet washes or even a car wash or anything like that over here.
only available washes are indians on the street who wash the cars for you

and no chance of using a pressure washer from 3rd story apartment where windows are nowhere near the car

nightmare......

Refreshing to see a sports car where it's obviously being used. There's something inherently cool in that, rather than the overly shiny sports cars you see over here who's only purpose is to stay in the garage until taken out to show off

even without the rain the car gets covered in dry sand everyday too but most of that blows off when driving

as i mentioned in another thread, i have used my rear tyres in 5500 miles
oops


only about 1mm left which explains the twitchy rear end aquaplaning in the wet last week

I'd have done exactly the same with that kind of power Stevie. Listening to that engine roar and nailing it down the road... yes please! I bet your absolutely loving driving it. How does it cope with the extreme heat?

I've only had it since December Scotty annd it's only been maximum 30 degrees since then so I wouldn't know yet

I remember you saying the Aircon is an upgraded version? Are the rads\cooling any different?

I don't know. I've been told all cars that come to the middle east have better airco systems.

yes they are 20s, but its not just that... 305 wide too and run flat
Its the joys of living in the middle east.
Plus a tyre that is so rare, because basically only two cars use them, the ZL1 and the Shelby GT500

The tyres are $300 each in the US, but I'm paying the equivalent of $900 a piece here due to import etc...

Anyway they are on and i'm enjoying having grip again.
I'll post up pictures of the old tyres later...

Maybe consider switching the traction control on now and then?

Traction control is always permanently on but wheels still spin every time you put your foot down hard. Especially more so when in manual mode over automatic
