Usually we drive the wintertyres from october/november until march or april ....

Ugly tire time

This week and the next week will be good weather at the daytime but at night it already starts freezing.... so time for a tire change.

Yes they definatly do !

One scene:

A light hill and a road with snow....

Drive there and stop with summer tyres.... end of your journey

Same with wintertyres and you can start driving all the way up

They have a total differnt profile design and the rubber is much softer.
So they are very grippy in cold conditions.

But when its to warm they die very fast.

well compared to what tyres were on the car when i bought it, YES
They were Nankang something or other, dreadful in the wet so they would have been awful in the winter
so from the beginning i said i was gonna get some new wheels and tyres after last winter, so decided to use the standard zs wheels as winter tyres.
Even though i have good tyres now, uniroyals, winter tyres will still be much better in the cold and snow

Quote:

Snow tires are usually tires with a different rubber composition from all-weather tires. Cold-weather tires include a greater percentage of natural rubber and silica so there is not as much hardening as found in synthetic rubber in cold conditions:[2] they provide better traction at lower temperatures. Snow tires provide more small-tread areas, increasing traction on snow and, in wet conditions, allowing water to escape from under the tire more easily. This reduces the risk of hydroplaning.
