Yup, very good idea that Pink... saves worrying about people getting their hands on your digi cam.

Yes you don't know what some people are like, you hear a lot about things getting out of hands after accidents.

Cooperative insurance company are just as bad. Someone ran straight into my car 3 weeks ago (see noob post) anyway my insurance have done nothing in three weeks saying that they are busy with storm damage (the storm was only a week and a half ago!!!! shouldn't they be dealing with me first). Oh n they messed up n didnt give me a hire car because they got the details mixed up - the driver who hit me was also called fiona, when i called the insurance they said it was clearly my fault. After blowing several fuses they realised it was her mistake!! but no hire car because its after 14 days - didnt matter how much i argued. The moral of the story when i get an it will not be insured by CIS

Sorry to hear of all your insurance downfalls, but i have allways believed, you get what you pay for.

I have been quoted less than £200 for my , all the way up to £1100.

Under £200 sounded great but have never heard of the company (got it on a net search)

So i went half way with a well known company. My wife was rear ended and the driver did a runner (uninsured obviously).

My insurance was great. A courtesy car, no loss to NCB, and we were given £2000 compensation from the 'Motor Vehicle Bureau' for whiplash injuries, which i would never have thought about until the insurance sorted it.

So. The cheapest is not allways the best bet.You don't know whats around the corner.

I'd agree that the cheapest is not always the best but equally you have to remember that insurance companies make money by not paying out! I went with Elephant on my 306 before moving to the ST but have transfered the policy to the ST. Not only are they competative with regard to price, but they also have very good service and have sorted out many issues in the past. My only gripe is that when I first moved to them I had an outstanding insurance claim (7 months since accident without resolution) and then when my no claims got updated the discount was £3.50 for the year

Still.... cheaper even with zero NCB compared to 1 year with other companies!

I have had a quote of £939 pounds fully comp for my ST and im 20 with 3 years NCB. the nearest i could get to that from moneysupermarket.com was £1300 but cant remember who it was with. and with elephant, named drivers now earn their own no claims as well.
