An update........

For those that are unaware, Ford Fair has always been organised by the staff of Fast Ford magazine, or more accurately Future Publishing. Last year Future Publishing sold its motoring portfolio to a company called Kelsey Media. They are now running Ford Fair.

Amanda contacted them about a month ago to introduce herself and to make initial enquiries about stand booking, prices etc. The initial reply was "Who are you?" - Not a good start, I am sure you will agree with us being the single biggest Club Stand and 4 time winners of Best Club Stand in the last 8 years Amanda enquired about the availability of our usual spot and, I kid you not, we were asked to pay in advance to secure it. That is like £10,000. Respectfully she declined (If you know Amanda you will have a good guess how respectful she was ).

Anyway, the upshot is that Amanda HAS managed to secure our usual plot, and we will not be paying in advance.

However, we will be limited to that area only and that unfortunately means we will, for the first time ever, have to limit Cub Stand ticket numbers. We will be working out the numbers to be as fair as possible and we are able to change allocations Club to Club as tickets are sold so hopefully everyone who wants a ticket will get one.

The one upside is that we are not now under pressure to get tickets in the Club Shop at a ridiculously early time.

I didn't know Future had sold it's motoring division. On the plus side, Kelsey may be better at sorting out the tickets, given the amount of grief I've had over the years with FF & Trax. Downside is that over the last few years Future have been fair in how they allocated space, by giving it in first come first served order from the centre of the circuit outwards - it appears that this won't be the case from now on.

think Steph wants to do track time this year too and I may well join in at trax in the new motor (when I get it)

Decided I'm going, and I'll do a few laps aroud Silverstone as well while I'm there.
Gonna buy the tickets at the weekend when I get a few hours free, too rushed atm.

I too shall book this weekend and try and sort a hotel out. Girlfriend keeps checking and says they are filling up fast!

Yer as soon as show dates are announced the price goes up and everyone trys booking where are you looking to book?

I'm not sure relay, we'll make a few days of it. Anywhere good you know of? I don't mind being an hour away.
Drove through Silverstone village so we saved an hour by not sitting on the dual carriageway
