Have a Mk6.5 Zetec S 1.6TDCI.
What options have I for Side Skirts? (Is there a few different types?) Only want original Ford!
Also how are they held on?

What is the difference between a Zetec S and normal Fiesta?
Bumpers/Interior are obvious, But is that it?

Also considering painting the black trim gloss black? (Front/Rear bumper inserts and fog surrounds and also front grill)

Anyone have pics of this done? (My car is Moondust)

They'er put on with what is essentially plastic clips and then plastic rivets underneath along the sill

If you want more than that, i had my mirrors split, painted and rebuilt. Purely because if i didnt, when they fold it would have been black plastic behind them!

The ZS and ST sideskirts are the same and they're the only genuine Ford skirts available for the MK6/6.5.

I believe they're held on with clips (holes in sill), but don't quote me on that!

Differences between ZS and normal fiesta - apart from what you've mentioned, the only other difference is the engine AFAIK! The ST has 15mm lower suspension but I'm sure the ZS didn't get any suspension changes.

Gloss black plastics has been done before, generally looks really good, modernises the car so much.

Liking the mirrors, Although I'm not fancy enough to have folding mirrors on mine!


Going to be getting mirrors/mouldings/doorhandles colour coded, So will do all paint work in one go!

Best going to fords to get the genuine items in honesty!

If you get a kit off them, probably best to enquire first to make sure it includes all the bits required, and also depends on whether you're wanting to do them yourself or get someone else to do it for you.

Not really into modifying it, Just improving it.

I had a Panther Black MK6 ZS and I got a pair of ST side skirts, in Panther Black, from a scrapyard. Only one jacking point was missing so ordered that from Ford and got it sprayed.

Not sure the ZS has the right holes in sill or place for clips etc.
I ended up bonding them on with a few self tapping screws underneath
