Gaming PC price vs Xbox price will always put people off, especially on a decent TV yummy hardly notice a difference

when you have a good gaming pc, graphics are far superior to the latest consoles games are cheaper for PC usually too sometimes they come out later than the console versions but most of the time at the same time
I've always had consoles and a PC mine is nearly 2 years old but still can play pretty much anything at the best settings
what's your Spec Kenny? skylake build Z170A msi Gaming M5 Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard intel core i7-6700k cpu @4.00ghz GeForce msi GTX 980Ti Gaming 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card 500gb ssd 2tb hdd 16 gb ballistic ram monitor ultra wide 34 inch lg razer keyboard and mouse all in all about £3k with monitor, mouse, keyboard and desk and so happy I built it myself lol I'm going to build another one for callum at the end of the year so he can play games and do his home work on it also that way I will get him off the xbox one and can sell it

I bought the parts etc so the computer would be future proof so I did go major ott on the build,I can also add another graphics card when I need it but this comp will play everything at hi settings
I agree its not £2600 better tho I could get the same quality for £1000 or second had much cheaper
imo yes I can see a big difference picture wise from a console to this, I didn't get it at first if you know what I mean I was looking on the forum and everyone saying fps and this and that and look at the background, walk past a wall and no popping ect ect. don't get me wrong just because I have this now I'm not one of them console haters i still play on my wii u and I still play with my daughter on the xbox one
I can pick up a £400 second hand gaming comp which is 6 years old and would out perform the latest gen consoles, at first I was like no way but over 2 months of constant reading of posts and picture specs it is true,
I could of spent it on the car but I'm happy with its power and looks and not to fussed about it either, and need to spend more time with the kids on the weekend instead of going out and cleaning the car for 4 to 5 hours, so really car side of things this year its a side note
and the 3k rob was chair and desk to, I could of kept cost down easy ie my gaming chair was £300 desk was £150 I didn't have to spend £160 on a keyboard or £140 on a mouse and didn't have to buy a £550 monitor lol so it can be done a lot cheaper, credit cards are great at times now the nasty part I have to pay it back now lol

Had a look earlier to see what games my iMac can run, apparently....none £800 computer that can run nothing!
Obviously it will run all the low power usage games, but get to anything even slightly complex and it won't run it

Yea mines great for what I bought it for, doing all my business paperwork etc
Can't believe the amount of power you require to run some of the latest games!

The thing with the console vs PC debate has always been - if you have a PS4 and buy a PS4 game it is guaranteed to run as it was designed.
Unless you have a super high spec PC, then you could go out, buy a game and suddenly realise it doesn't work on your rig, so you have to sacrifice quality, speed, or cash to upgrade the machine to get the game to run.
The other downside (or upside in some cases) is the ability to mod games. GTA Online for example is almost completely unplayable online in public sessions due to the modders and hackers blowing up entire lobbies of people on spawn.
I built my PC 7 years ago - it struggles these days and perhaps I should think about building a new one - FPS games are so much better with a keyboard and mouse - and peripheral support on PC's is obviously so much better than consoles (still boycotting Logitech at the moment due to their PS4 G25 'policy')
But again, cost is the biggest factor. I'm hard pushed to want to spend £1500 on building a high spec gaming rig, having the space for it and time for it, when I can buy a £299 console which sits under the TV and is guaranteed to run any game released for it.
