I don't think the age of the car is relevant to whether it's worth doing.

I guess it totally depends on how you see the car and how long you plan on keeping it. I know Jack P is going to keep his for a long time. Where is the cut off point for a 2005-2009 car? I do still love the Mk6 sts. I wish ford had made an rs version

Thanks guys. I know where each of you are coming from but after considering it I actually prefer the pre-facelift lights. I plan on keeping it for some time as its been a car that stole my heart many years ago but just wasn't practical and with it only have 49K on the clock it would make no sense to let it go any time soon until the Focus ST/RS enters my "Wish" list.

I will have a few more updates this week now the weather is slightly better. Plan on doing all the exterior plastics so I will put an update up once complete.

I have a question if anyone is able to help. So after cleaning the TB out car runs excellent, Took it to Ford for a major service and since returning the car is really shaking while idle (i.e. after driving and I pull up or genuinely stop the car for 30 seconds or so) Would you guys point towards the Ignition Coilpack and Leads need upgrading or something else?

If so grateful if you could point me in the right direct for a decent replacement.

Little update... Plastics were looking old and faded so decided to give them a new lease of life with PlastiDip! Really happy with the results.

Alloy wheel refurb next but was wondering if anyone has installed MK7 alloy wheels on to the MK6 if so are they a straight swap?

During the process hmm

Finished product after re-installing snigger

Thank mate! Proper chuffed how it all turned out. I'm not sure how well the PlastiDip will hold out but if/when it starts to show wear I think I'll get all the bits professionally sprayed gloss or matt black.

Gave her a quick clean, Scrubs up well for an old girl.

Waiting to do the brakes and refurb the wheels and while I'm there chuck on some new rubber all round but need to get the mechanical work done first. Just thought I'd post a little picture thumbs

** Little Update **

Recently had all my brakes done, Mtec drilled and grooved discs and Brembo pads.

Also purchased some sound deadening for my audio upgrade and general noise.

Going to install my Heko wind deflectors now my window problems as been resolved, Followed by getting my wheels refurbished, callipers painted and fresh rubber all round.

Really struggling what colour to go. Currently stuck between Gloss Black/Anthracite or stay standard hmm any ideas vs the Red fez?lly
