Was a fairly decent race I thought at the weekend, and a pretty exciting end to it as to whether both Hamiltion and Vettel would mange to get 3rd and 1st respectively. Brundles "shoey" was not in Patrick Stewarts class though, more of a sip. nono

In other news, we'll have to see what the future holds for the British Grand Prix after Silvertsone exercised their break clause in the current contract. upset

I read that the current contract was a rising cost contract year on year negotiated with Ecclestone.

Silverstone will exercise the break clause in the contract due to rising costs, then renegotiate with Liberty at a slightly reduced cost (perhaps even with some input / contribution from the Gov't as other countries do - I don't think it was coincidence that there was an F1 event in Central London on Westminster's doorstep demonstrating how popular the sport is).

Watched a bit of yesterdays race, quite a good ending, what with punctures for the Ferrari's - taking away Raikkonen's podium then giving it straight back to him, with Vettel falling low enough to bring his championship lead to just one point.

Also positive to hear that Martin Brundle appears to be doing OK after he was taken ill during the broadcast on Sky - stomach virus, apparently.

Thought it was quite as good race also. The ending has certainly mixed things up as we approach the mid-season break after this weekend!

An interesting race on Sunday. Fair play to Hamilton for doing what he did on the final lap, but whether he'll regret it if he narrowly loses the championship come the end though... hmm

F1 back this weekend in Spa. Hamilton blew everyone away in qualifying and a good effort from Vettel to be second after being well off the pace until the end of Q3 though I can't help feeling it was a bit convenient that Raikkonnen had problems on his final qualifying lap which Vettel then said helped him with being in the slipstream. nono

Was a decent race last weekend I thought - nailbiting after the safety car to see if Vettel would get past or Hamilton cling on. Force India need to sort things out behind the scenes though as something like that had been coming for a while. nono

Monza this weekend. thumbs

Malaysia this weekend... Hamilton's got into a great position being more than a race ahead in the points after the mayhem in Singapore mistake but the Mercs seem well off the pace so far this weekend. We'll see what happens.
