I've just had an attempted theft - door lock broken and OBD accessed. Fortunately they must have been disturbed as left without taking the car. Just wondered what additional security devices in addition to a steering lock, people would recommend. I'm looking into getting a ghost immobiliser fitted but does anyone have any other suggestions?

depends who your insurance is with, greenlight does not recognise the ghost as a alarm and i think other insurance company's are doing the same, i had a ghost fitted to mine and in the end had it removed, i ended up going for the viper tag immobilizer

Mk7 STs are terrible theft magnets - to the point where I wouldn't consider owning one.

I would say a Disklok and OBD relocation are a minimum, with a dummy OBD fitted in it's place

You could also maybe consider hiding a cut-off switch somewhere, but definitely somewhere where it can't accidentally be knocked.
