Easiest way to spot the difference is in the headlights, which on the new shape are like frog eyes, and the rear ones which look more bubbly on the new shape. There are very few differences to the standard spec, but there are plenty more options on the new shape. Check out the ford website and check the "forecourt" of this forum for some pics, you'll spot the differences.

The biggest difference has to be inside the car the facelist has a competely different dash and also has a trip computer...

I would say the facelift is much nicer I personally prefer the lights and also think the interior is far nicer but then I do have a facelift. I'm sure people with the older spec prefer theirs...

johnny,
the facelift is much improved, from the previous model, such as the improved dash and radio/cd,the poor old lcd display for fuel/temp were poor,
new proper diplay better and of course the improved front and rear lamp clusters
are better.

The face lift is a much better car in my opinion, both interior and exterior are better. More noticably the interior, i think the pre face lift interior looks plain and basic compared to the new one.

I never used to like the new shape that much (although I've got one) but I do prefer them. I think they have an ikle more character......but that's just my opinion!!
