ok there seem a lot of people posting how useless there dealers and there cars are, anyone looking on the site thinking of buying 1 would be put right off,so lets here if any? people whos dealers and cars are great,i recieved my car 2 week earlier than it was expected on a newer plate for less than i expected and the dealer always foned me and kept me informed on the progress and after owning and having no problems with my car they sent me a text with a date time etc for my courtesy check which i thought was very good of them,so far so good i have been totaly impressed from start to finnish with buying my first new car,i was really worried as well seen as it was my first new car but loving my wee bug eyed beastie

Im absoloutly in love with my its the best car ive ever owned. was expecting to pay around £11,300 for a second hand but i managed to get my 55 plate(new shape) for £10,800 purely because ford had made a mistake when advertising it on their website (so thats the price i paid) haha.

the car came without top stripes, i wanted them putting them on, so they were ordered from germany and i was told it would cost £65+vat to fit them which i thought was reasonable (turned out there was another mix up in my favour and theyd only quoted for me having roof stripes put on) hahaha!.

although theyve messed the bonnet stripes up they are reordering them(without charge!) and my car will be in the shop for another day but they have done all this wothout any moaning and kept me informed every step of the way!

i take my hat off to i really do but they will be hell to pay if they mess the bonnet up again

A Great Car

Tony

Im a recent ST owner, bout 2 months now, and i have to say that all the bad things (ford customer service, the occasional squeek and rattle) go straight out the window when u show this car a great B road or an amazing country lane. Massive amounts of respect for Ford and TeamRS for spending a huge amount of time and effort into creating something that truly takes your breath away.

I LOVE MY ST

Si

Got mine a month earlier than I expected, order only took about 2 weeks, and it was a factory build. I got mine through an import agent (its still a UK spec car) but the dealer used was Cuff Miller and at the hand over they were excellent. Got the car for £11,500 and that included ESP & Reflex, Privacy Glass, Bluetooth and Voice Control, EATC, Side stripes, Powerfold Mirrors, and a second remote key. Lovin the car and all the features. Only got a few minor niggles, boot sticks, alarm bit strange and squeeky clutch, all these faults have easy fixes, I'm just too busy at the mo to do it myself or get down the dealers.

The only time I have been back to any dealer was Benfield Ford on the Kirkstall road Leeds, they kindly drained my oil and filled it up F.O.C. after I accidently over filled it slightly. I move around the country a lot, so I will get a wide range of dealers over my ownership, I will let you know how I find each one, but all so far so good!

Ford service in my area is not great but do love my ST and would change it for the world I know is not the faster but for look with stripes on, I think it look great! had a Fiesta TDCI for a day even if I done 20miles in it I hate it but when I was back in my ST it was like a different world!Price is very good but u can be put off buying another Ford cos of the service which is not great. When I'm want to buy some accessories I'm not asking my dealer cos its useless so I getting them from Uk in Canterbury cos they very helpful and try there best to find the solution even though they know we not living in UK! Sometime I whish I was still living in that area cos they would probably have a better service than the one I go to in France!

I adore my ST and cant see me changing it for a lonnnnng time! Course its got its problems but when I put my right foot down or I get admiring looks I soon forget/ignore them!!

As far as dealerships are concerned, I wouldnt trust the one I bought it from as far as I could throw the lot of them. Things like 3 mile trips when its in to have trim replaced, trying to sell me rubbing strips when I was after the side stripes (I had to turn the comp screen round & show him where to find them!) just leaves me cold. If I *have* to take it to a dealership, I'll only take it one that a friend works for.

My dealer, Malcolm Waite, in Sandwich, Kent were really good. The car came earlier than they said it would and I even had a couple of calls from the salesman after I bought the car to check whether everything was okay .

I have no probs with my ST and love it . Okay, I sometimes feel it could do with an extra 20 bhp and a six speed box but it's still a great car and I'd recommend it to anyone .

i have to say yes i do enjoy my ,driving it puts the biggest smile on my face and i like all the attention it gets(rubberneckers and the crowd of teenagers at my sons school )the car its self is superb.a lot of you guys say the same thats cool, but certain dealerships let the customer down(not all of them i hasten to add)i am not afraid to shame mine, benfield ford guiseley leeds.
i bought both my and my wifes there, the salesman was brilliant but thats where it stops for me.main problem being my going back twice in the two months of ownership and me having to keep in touch with them to see whats going on,i won,t go in to detail because my problems are in threads elsware but
i have washed my hands with them now,in future i shall use polar ford bradford, but wheather that changes anything remains to be seen.
iceman.

p.s. when i say going back, first time they had it for 2 weeks!!!and second time they had it for 3 days.

Yeh ya right, it is the dealers that let us down more than the car

I love my ST to pieces i cannot fault the car at all the garage where i bought it from are spot on the service i had from the sales department are 2nd to none the only thing that let it down was a small incident with the windscreen fit but it was resolve and an apology from the service manager.
